Alex Anderson

Alex and Emily have 3 kids – Kalon, Evelyn, and Jack. They all especially love the cold and snow, winter sports, including snowmachining, snowboarding and skiing, and summer activities like dirtbiking and camping. 

They had never heard of VBC until they saw an instagram post about the Spruce Lodge fire and the need for a General Contractor to oversee the design and building of chapel replacement. Although Alaska has always been a dream, they had accepted that southeast Idaho, where they are from, is where God wanted them. Alex started a contracting business that has steadily been growing and they are both involved in multiple new ministry start-ups. When they saw the ad, everything changed! In a short time, they both believed that God was calling them to VBC. There were many emails and phone calls back and forth with Mike, the director, and then they finally visited in February 2026, where Alex formally accepted the offer to join the VBC team as the general contractor for the new Spruce Chapel. 

They believe that God has been preparing them for this for many years and are all so excited for this next chapter of life and are excited for God to work through them and within them!
