Kropp

Lucas and Mariah married in January of 2023 and prayed about what God had for them next. On their flight back from their honeymoon, they both felt peace and a calling to Alaska. Packing up the truck in February, they drove up the Alcan and settled in Glacier View. The night before they left Montana, Lucas was accept as a flight student at Kingdom Air Corps. This was the extra confirmation they needed to solidify they were headed in the right direction. They both felt called to full time ministry though where and how wasn’t clear.

For a month, Lucas and Mariah volunteered in the Victory kitchen while Victory’s head chef was on his honeymoon. Lucas had spent most of his career outside of the Army in the food industry and loved being back in the kitchen. Mariah grew up in camping ministry and loves the opportunities to volunteer and be involved. Lucas and Mariah throughly enjoy cooking together, serving others, and getting to know the people making up the Victory community. They continued to pray over where God was preparing them to go and felt a heavy peace that they were supposed to remain in Glacier View.

Multiple decisions needed to be made by August of 2024 as their first baby was due, Mariah would be leaving her job, and Lucas’ flight training was over. Through prayer, a men’s Bible study, and multiple conversations, Lucas felt called to apply to be a cook at Victory. With peace and excitement paperwork was filled out and conversations were had.

The Kropp’s enjoy all things Alaska, particularly bush flying, the mountains, wildlife, and exploring. They are so excited to be working in camping ministry together for the glory of God.
