Layne Busenitz

Layne grew up in a Christian home on a ranch in Wyoming, where from an early age he wondered how God would use his life and where He would lead him. As it turned out, being allergic to cattle may have been one of the first ways God nudged him toward ministry — a detail Layne can’t help but smile about.

After graduating from high school and completing his studies at Frontier School of the Bible, Layne came to Victory as an Alpine cabin leader. When the summer wrapped up, he didn’t feel ready to leave — so he stayed on for Victory’s internship through the winter season and into the following summer.

His time at camp has been one of growth and blessing, and he has a heart for seeing that same transformation happen in the lives of everyone who comes through Victory’s doors each year. The volunteer environment, he has found, offers remarkable opportunities for discipleship and personal development that are hard to come by anywhere else.

Layne is currently pouring his energy into the Spruce Chapel building project, along with whatever other doors open up along the way.
“My goal is to fulfill the Great Commission by serving alongside fellow volunteers, while continuing to build the skills and experience that will equip me to be a capable provider wherever God has called me.”
