Tessa Wynthein

Tessa is very excited to join Victory ministries! While she is new to camp ministry and to Alaska, she is eager to jump into this calling. Tessa visited Victory and Alaska for the first time in November where she spent two weeks working in the camp store. Upon returning to her home state of Iowa, Tessa began to pray, along with her friends and family, that God would make it clear if He wanted her to pursue a full time position. Through this time God made it clear that he was giving Tessa the good gift of stepping out in faith and trusting Him. Along with this, the desire and excitement to serve at Victory as Camp Store Manager grew and God gave her the courage to say yes to moving to Alaska. Tessa is delighted to join Victory staff as Store Manager and to preserve and build upon the great legacy of Glorious Grace!Tessa grew up in flat, green, beautiful, Iowa but has always been drawn to more vertical landscapes. 🙂 She attended college at Moody Bible Institute in the heart of Chicago, earning a bachelor’s degree in Pre-Counseling and Human Services. While in college, Tessa also worked as a student supervisor managing a branch of Moody’s dining services. In this position she strived to serve her fellow students and Moody faculty with excellence and will strive to serve the community of Glacier View in the same way. Throughout Tessa’s college experience she proudly wore the badge of coffee snob and tea expert. Tessa’s friends could always count on being offered a delicious hot beverage whenever they stopped in to visit. In addition to her love of hot beverages, Tessa also loves the outdoors and spending time with her family and friends. She holds the title of coolest Auntie to 7 of the most awesome kids; 4 of whom are staff kids at Victory!
